One of the most important ski and snowboard accessory is a helmet. You don't have to be hucking cliffs or bombing glades to need a helmet. It can be just as important to protect your brain from injury in a slow fall on a green run. Even in lift lines you have the benefit of surviving getting hit by a swinging t-bar or someone inadvertently turning while carrying skis and catching you by surprise with an edge to the back of your head. Ski helmets now are very comfortable to wear and look great and can be warm or ventilate heat when needed. I have found that they also help keep goggles from fogging up.
